Show less.Prove it cleanly.
Five habits that make disclosures smaller and easier to check, then plain answers to what usually comes up before a first anchor.
How to split.How to share.
- 01
One fact per field
Split “Ada Example, engineer at Northwind since 2024” into name, role, employer and start date. Small fields let you show exactly one thing.
- 02
Show the least that works
Ask what the other side actually needs. A landlord needs a start date, not a salary. Every extra field you show is one you cannot take back.
- 03
Keep the sealed file
After anchoring, download the sealed file and store it privately. Without its salts no proof can ever be made for that root again.
- 04
Name fields the same way
The verifier sees the field name too. “start date” and “Start Date” are different leaves, so agree on names with whoever checks.
- 05
Revoke what goes stale
When a document is replaced, revoke its root from Records and anchor the new version with fresh salts.
Common questions,plain answers.
What is Noxen?
Noxen is a selective disclosure tool on Robinhood Chain. You split a document into fields in your browser, anchor one Merkle root of salted field hashes with your own wallet, and later share a single field with a short proof that anyone can check against that root.
How does Noxen work?
Each field gets a fresh random 32-byte salt. Its leaf is a hash of the salt, the field name and the value; the leaves are combined into a Merkle root. Only the root is stored on-chain, under your address with a block timestamp. To disclose a field you send its value, salt and the sibling hashes; the verifier recomputes the root and reads its status on-chain.
Does my document go to a server or onto the chain?
No. Fields, values and salts are handled in your browser. The chain receives the 32-byte root and an optional public label you type. Drafts stay in the page unless you switch on keeping them in this browser.
Is this private or anonymous?
It is selective, not anonymous. Everything on a public blockchain is public: the root, the address that anchored it and the time. Hidden fields cannot be read from the root, but the address can be linked to you by other means. This is not encrypted storage either; keeping the sealed file safe is up to you.
Which network is Noxen on?
Robinhood Chain, chain id 4663, with ETH for gas. The connect dialog adds the network to your wallet if it is missing.
How do I buy $NOXEN?
The $NOXEN contract address has not been published yet. It will appear on the token page and in the site header at launch. Until then, treat any address offered elsewhere as unofficial.
Do I need $NOXEN to use it?
No. Redacting, anchoring, verifying and looking up records need no token, only gas for the anchor transaction. Token uses (service fees, premium tools, governance) are plans, not live features.
What if I lose the salts?
Then nobody, including you, can produce a proof for that root again. Download the sealed file after anchoring and store it somewhere private. It contains every field in plain text, so never share it.
